The Huntsville Chess Club was established by two charter members Larry Young and Forrest Marler. The Huntsville Chess Club over the years established the Huntsville Scholastic/Adult Chess League which supports a chess program grades 5th thru 12th at Huntsville Intermediate, Mance Park and hopefully starting at Huntsville High this coming school year.
Presently Raymond Vogt is the President and Robert McGregor Vice-President of the chess league and are members of the Huntsville Chess Club. Raymond Vogt is the chess coach for the scholastic chess teams and clubs.
